User interface and user experience design for the game
Play Of Battle – Systemic War
Over the last two years, I have been responsible for the UI and UX design of the strategy game Play of Battle – Systemic War. This project is especially important to me because I single-handedly created the complete user interface for a large-scale title with a highly complex gameplay structure.
The game combines mechanics known from real-time strategy (RTS) and grand strategy titles such as Hearts of Iron or Broken Arrow: an extensive economy simulation, multi-layered political decision-making, resource management, and dynamic military operations. Designing a UI that could support such depth required wireframing, prototyping, and a strong focus on player experience to ensure clarity and accessibility without sacrificing complexity.
